Breakfast is my favorite meal, a great way to start the day. It is also a good time to spend with family. My goals in writing this blog are threefold:
To share my breakfast experiences in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.- To share great breakfast recipes.
- To reflect on our American life.
Who am I? I’m a writer of historical suspense. Married, with grown children. For maximum effectiveness I believe reviewers should remain anonymous but, since I’ve always liked the name, you can call me Sara.
If you’d like to suggest a favorite breakfast spot for me to visit, or to share a favorite breakfast recipe, please email me at valleybreakfast@gmail.com or go to Contact Me. I do not accept free restaurant meals and my opinions are based on my own experiences.
I hope you’ll enjoy my posts, and that you will comment on them – just to keep things lively.

Hi Sara, we just discovered your blog! We’re big breakfast people too, yum. We’re new to Bethlehem and just started a food blog for the fun. It’s great finding out about local food. Looking forward to reading your blog more often.

Welcome to the Lehigh Valley, CP! Writing a food blog is a creative way to become acquainted with restaurants here. You’re off to a good start. I’ve linked you to BitV. Please keep in touch!

I love your blog. I’m a breakfast eater even for dinner. One place I know you will like I stumble upon earlier this year in February.
Whiteys Grille
639 Linden St
Bethlehem, PA 18018

They have homefries to die for. It’s small but worth the visit. The cook and the waitress are so pleasant. The walls are decorated with photos of local folk. A lot of hard working folk from the Bethlehem Steel and The Police department etc. There is always some daily breakfast special. One day I had a cheese steak omelet. It was excellent.
I really do enjoy your blog. I found it through PennLive.com on the forums. I live in Palmerton and have gone to the Beacon many times, try there fried chicken…. drool.
Anyways, thanks for the blog, look forward to reading more.
Take Care

Sam,
Thanks so much for your comments, and for the info about Whiteys Grill. Sounds like a good place to try. We’ll add it to our growing list. Always good to have a personal recommendation.
I’m glad you enjoy the blog. I hope to have a new post or two up soon. It’s been a busy spring. Thanks again.

Great Blog. Just what I was looking for as we recently decided to start checking out new restaurants for breakfast each weekend.
You should add Cafe 663 in Pennsburg to your list of restaurants to try. Very good omelettes and some unique choices. The Spinach/Feta omelette is my husband’s regular order. The crab/shrimp omelette is also very good. My daughter enjoys their stuffed french toast…stuffed with cream cheese and strawberries.
We went to Chris’ Diner on Route 413 this morning ..its between Hellertown and Bethlehem. Small diner, friendly service and the food was very good. I had the western omelette with cheese and my husband had the eggs and sausage, with coffees the bill came to $11. We were both pleased and plan on going back everntually. I’m determined to check out new spots. I look forward to reading your reviews.
